| Why
Vacuum bonding?
Alumina
ceramic linings have long been used in a wide variety of
applications. Vacuum bonding compliments those uses by adding
the ability to ceramic line areas not possible with a standard
lining, including dynamic application, space constrained
areas, and high impact components. While providing abrasion
resistance of fully dense, fired fine grain alumina body,
bonding utilizes small tiles that provide flexablity of
the product, impact resistance, and the ability to line
complex shapes. The ceramic tiles can be bonded directly
to the products for use or placed on a lightweight backing
plate for easy replacement.

| Maximizing
the benefits of Vacuum bonding
Alumina
ceramic is an excellent lining material. At 40% of the density
of steel, its light weight minimizes stress on the equipment
lined and extends life of other components such as fan bearings.
The uniform nature of ceramic provides even wear that procedures
like weld-overlay can't offer.
